The family of Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari is in mourning following the death of her husband from leukemia on Saturday. He was 66 year old.
Muhammad Supari was buried Sunday at the San Diego Hill funeral park in West Karawang, West Java. A number of Cabinet ministers, including Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Home Affairs Minister Mardiyanto and State Minister for the Enviroment Rachmat Witoelar attended a ceremony at Siti's official residence in Kuningan, South Jakarta, before Supari's body was taken for burial.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who were campaigning outside Jakarta, sent garlands of flowers to the believed family.
Supari, who was born in Magelang, Central Java, on Feb. 17, 1943, died at around 5:20 p.m. Saturday after a series of treatments for leukemia at the Cipto Mangunkusumo general hospital, Antara national news agency reported.
